Jack In The Pulpit

Jack is the pistil of the flower and the tubular petal is his pulpit from which he preaches.

I included this as it was the first afternoon since last Thursday on which I've seen the sun shining. ;-(
Hopefully we'll have sunshine for part of our long weekend for Victoria Day. |
It is said to be a rare woodland flower but these grow in our forest aplenty.
