I've been watching NASA TV, live video of everything they've been doing. Did you know the Space shuttle has about 190,000,000 horsepower at liftoff? Love that stuff.

I believe you work too much!? You should urgently take vacation. However, do not fly too high, my friend ... ;-)

@blur911: yeah i frequent NASA TV too, but they blocked it at my office unfortunately (probably because of bandwith problems). as for the measurement: looks odd to me to compare a rocket to xxx "horse"power - don't you think? @fuknhedcase: since you're vocabulary is limited, you should at least try to learn correct spelling before i talk to you again! :-) @ oc_unidentifiednumber: your little typo gives this song a complete new meaning... ;-)

@artbug: now, mars, that's a completely different issue. we're talking over 1 year travel time there, staying for AT LEAST 1 year and then 1 year going back... i'm not sure if i would be up to THAT kind of business travel... ;-) but i would be glad if you could send the link anyway - i'm a total space nut and interested in all of this info! :-)

Yes, rating the shuttle in hp seems a bit oxymoronish. But who can relate to 34MN? (Mega Newton) BTW, check out my blog on June 14 for a photo from a bit farther away. http://www.photoblog.com/user/blur911/2007/06/14/

@midsummersilence: thanks for the link! i was not aware of this! however, i might want to give this a pass, because it sounds like one of these odd science project that tires to replace the real thing through some model or test or protected environment for "studies"... and i fell too much like a guinea pig on this blog here, already! ;-)
