if all goes well, i'll be flying to california this friday, for a new years visit to san francisco with my brother and a short but intense trip into the mojave desert.

i probably will include, if time allows, a 2nd tour through the mojave airplane boneyard which i have seen first in 2000 and which ever since has been popping up in my mind as one of the most iconic places on earth.

the mojave airport is a sprawling place of airplane testing, freight exchange, filming and conservation of airflight history for years. it also was the test ground and landing place of the first commercial spacecraft "SpaceShipOne" in 2004.

revenant I have strong doubts about the existence of an afterlife for humans, but the one for aircraft no longer seems to be in doubt.
