these two pictures hand in the same waiting room of my family doctor, to be contemplated at while sitting there on a comfy sofa before you're treated for whatever causes you discomfort.

i've always wondered if he hung them up to show the competing endeavors in life or if he wanted to draw a somewhat complete description of fulfillment, but both pictures have always fascinated me when i visited his praxis, maybe because they both ARE so similar in one, most important aspect...

i leave you to decide which that is.

DancingDolphin Well first off I can say that I've never seen anything nearly this interesting in just about ANY American waiting room! Usually it's flowers.... and you know how 'not fond' I am of flower pictures! 8^)

So to these wonderful pictures. First I'd say they are wonderful choices for a waiting room because there is so much to explore. You could actually sit there and look around in them and possibly get distracted from the idea that you are 'waiting'. I see he covers the beginning and the end of life...

Nychthemeron to me they both illustrate the purpose people always need to have in life ... one of them seeks fulfillment in knowledge of life gained through studying, the other in creating life itself (just for the heck of it ;)
