Rankin Inlet

We flew a day late from Coral Harbour to Rankin Inlet trying to get to Whale Cove, my next destination. The weather was bad in Whale Cove so we spent an extra night in Rankin. I went for a walk this morning in the bright sunshine to see the town.
This large Inukshuk is about 3 meters tall and on a hill overlooking the inlet

It happened that my friend Piita Irniq was in Rankin as well, so we got together for breakfast this morning. Always a pleasure to see Piita. Such a busy man

I flew this afternoon to Whale Cove. We oveflew it once but landed on the second try. Still snow on the ground but melting fast. The weather has been bad for several days as it is around 0C so lots of fog and freezing drizzle. Now in Whale Cove 2 days late
