Rankin Inlet, Nunavut

I am back north working for 2 weeks in Rankin Inlet. This hamlet is on the west coast of Hudson's Bay, about half way up the bay. It is not within the Arctic Circle, but close enough that it is light for about 20 hours a day now. The small arctic flowers are in profusion

The view west over the hamlet, and down to the inlet. The town is growing rapidly, and is the administrative centre for this region of Nunavut
