Friends, Romans, Countrymen ...

I was going to call this a corny moment ... but

The photographs I personally like the best are the ones with people in it. Something about their engagement with a moment, something about the way the camera sees an emotion in them that may have been too transient to register at that time ... makes me go back to look again and again at some of these pictures ...
All four were shot with different cameras ... The first one was with a film Canon EOS 300 after having a CLA done on it, the second one was shot with a Nikon D40X with a Nikkor 50mm portrait lens (which has now passed on to a new owner ), the third one was shot with a Fuji F30 in near complete darkness, and the last one was done outdoors with a Konica 35mm SLR, with a meter reading taken off a light meter (notice the blown overexposed background ...) but it was my first time using the Konica and the light meter and I was more than a little drunk ... there hopefully somebody will buy that excuse for what is really my abysmal ignorance about how to spotmeter for contrasts when shooting with a completely manual camera :(
But *brightening up* I've since experimented and it's getting better (I think)
I'm going to reinstate something I used to do earlier ... why? because I'm hopelessly self centered and have given up on trying to reform myself of my interest in my interests in myself.

Yup ever since PeteTheWop led the way, everybody's been going all roads lead to Rome. Me, teach Mr. Wop a lesson? Yeah, that will be the day :) I barely managed to escape his earlier unrelenting attention by convincing him to start his own blog and I'm making sure he stays focused on that and leave me out of his sights ... And hey how about you? I thought the entire flipados team was going holidays or something ... on the Grand Prix circuit.
