A fortuitous gap in the cloud cover right at the horizon provided a really beautiful sunrise event in the Raleigh area today... seen in the top image in pastel splendor just before sunrise proper (and much better large on black), and above with an equally striking post-rise view seven minutes later (also better LOB). You bet that was a sweet show!
