Again this morning, the Raleigh area saw mostly cloud-free skies, but a thicker than usual layer of purple haze... lending a strong filtering effect, and we get to see the very intense but clearly defined sun rising through the haze and causing the sky above it to glow (better viewed large on black). Sweet!
