On the heels of a front that rumpled through last night, the Raleigh area enjoyed a rare cloud-free summer sunrise, seen in the top image as the sun topped the treeline (better large on black), and above during mid-twilight, with some subtle density-contrast lineations and a well-developed purple haze (also better LOB). Sweet!
