The Raleigh area enjoyed a dry-air cloud-free sunrise event on Labor Day, the post-rise view seen in the top image (better large on black). #2 is the extremely red view at sunrise proper (also better LOB), and, because it was so prominent in the twilight sky, above is the crescent moon in its "Diana's Fingernail" phase (and better LOB). Sweet and bright!
