In the top image, the Raleigh area was treated to a gorgeous pink glow at sunrise proper on this Winter Solstice 2010 (better large on black). A few minutes earlier, seen in #2, the late twilight sky had a decidedly winter-like appearance (also better LOB)... and four hours before that, above, we caught the first real treat of the morning: the last glimpse of the lunar eclipse (of course, better LOB) before high clouds obscured the view. Sweet morning viewing!!
