The outer-most bands of clouds from hurricane Irene were part of the Raleigh area's morning sky. We got a brief look at the sun before it disappeared behind this dark cloud, seen in the top image (large on black) and closeup in #2 (LOB). Above is the very different mid-twilight view (LOB). Sweet! It'll be very interesting to see what tomorrow's morning sky offers!
