No sunrise picture from the Raleigh area today... or anywhere in eastern NC given hurricane Irene's visit. Here's stand-in shot is from December 25, 2005 (better large on black), taken at Atlantic Beach, NC... the very location on the NC coast where Irene made landfall this morning. Thunderstorms on Christmas morning... quite a rare and sweet sight!
