it is a positive statement...

something i have been thinking on lately.

it is easy to get caught up in wanting to be popular,
to be thought of in a way that is an acceptable image to many people.
it is like filling a gas tank with tea,
it is the wrong thing for the human desire,
like filling a pie shell with mud.

I think you are quite popular, at least in this venue. I have always just wanted to do and be the best I could be for me....You know, follow the Golden Rule and all that stuff. Then let the chips fall where they may, I say!!

I like to think of wanting friends... not the popularity contest thing.. like being the best... and you know what we can never be accpetable to everyone.. could never fulfill everyone's expectations of us.. it is a misplace thing .. being unique and yourself is much more creative and fun!!!:) and I think you are so very very unique ... and wonderful:)

You're right - popular is quite delusional. But I don't think being unpopular is the answer to this - a pie shell should definitely be filled with delicious goodies!

Very true, I agree. Being yourself is the best way to be. Nobody wants to be a copy of another person, and if they don't like that you're different, you don't need them.
