the orchard

2008.01.24

took these today
on my way back from
a neighboring town
about a 20 mile drive

it is an orchard of filbert trees
the filbert is also called hazelnut

took the photo
out of the passenger car window
since no one was following me
and there was nowhere to pull over

MHJphotos Fantastic - both are very nice! And, I happen to be a big fan of the filbert - one of my favorite nuts!

Madoc Two superb shots here. Both -but especially the 2nd one- are kind of creepy and a bit surreal.
Really love it.

Sendim I like the #2, the perspective is great.

rolpa Lovely tonality and perspective. Unlike most, I prefer the first for its subtlety.

DancingDolphin Really nice effect! Don't you love riding ALONE so you can do these impulsive stops!

Lumierenatural Nice shadowy leading walkway like it

Cherax Disappearing lines and repeating pattens are reliable formula for a good photo. Just don't run off the road while your doing it.
I'd never heard of filbert being an alternative name for hazel nut.

BTW where do Macadamia nuts originate...Hawaii? No...Australia! Australia, land of the best nuts!
