Great Work! The title and the thoughts are even more pertinent when you learn that in my part of the world (or maybe just in my family...I don't know which or both) "a slight" was "an offense created when something desired was omitted." So, if my wife were ever to be "slighted" by my forgetfulness on Mother's Day or our anniversary, then we would all feel that she would be perfectly justified in applying a swiftly placed hand across the growing red of my recalcitrant face. :} There you have a responsive "slight of hand!" :)
