The game of marbles is older than recorded history - marbles have been found in ancient Egyptian and Roman tombs.

There is a version of the game that has been in vogue since at least the mid 19th century which is called keepies or for keeps. As the name suggests, whoever wins the game keeps all the marbles.

that's funny, I wondered if someone would say they felt like they had lost their marbles and bauche did..I found a pretty orange/white marble today, one of several I've found where the old house was bulldozed..after a hard rain, things like glass and marbles surface! Was thinking of posting them, love yours.
