Cover it in chocolate and a miracle or two

2008.07.27
The jewellry tent was supposedly all 'inspired by chocolate'; these ones certainly were! About half an hour after I took this the chocolate began to melt into a big gooey puddle.

I did get some very pretty (and non-chocolate!) earrings at this stand

Other stands had very prettily packaged bags of chocolatey goodness

These truffles are the only ones I actually tried over the whole day - irony of ironies my tastebuds still haven't quite recovered after getting my tonsils out and everything tastes bitter and salty. Mind you, everyone else I was with that had some were happy, even those that tried the whiskey and paprika ones!

Today was a day of several parts; this is part one. We went to the Chocolate Festival in Temple Bar in Dublin and pottered about in the lovely sunshine.
Those who know me know that I have a close relationship with chocolate; I've flirted with Mars and Nestlé but Cadbury's will always be close to my heart, occasionally cheating on it with a bit of Lindt or Galaxy.
Unfortunately (or fortuanately as the case may be), since I got my tonsils out, I have had zero interest in chocolate. And even after seeing a whole city square full of chocolate, I've still zippo interest. Was it my tonsils that craved the chocolate so badly?!
