I applied to work on a heritage site in Summer 2006, between finishing my degree and starting my Master's. I was assigned to
Old Mellifont Abbey, which is a Cistercian Abbey, or more accurately the ruins of a Cistercian Abbey. Luckily for me it was a glorious summer, as much of the job was based outside, giving tours around the site. There were only a few of us working there as it wasn't really a busy site - a bit of a doss really! One of the people I worked with is now the guy I'm going out with - although it took us until veryvery recently to get it together and start going out!
I don't think I owned a camera the summer I was there, but I went back today to take a few shots :)
