holy communion candid

This was such a wonderful day. Did 3 shoots at 3 different churches with 3 groups of kids. I pretty much donated my time to the church which really felt good to do. It amazed me how happy these kids were to recieve thier first holy communion. I was able to be up on the alter to capture the very moment and while I love those shots I won't post them, but they were all either so nervous they were shaking or excited they couldn't stop giggling. It was endearing and a very moving expereince for me.

Adorable! I was sent to a Catholic school (my parents falsified a baptism thing). For my first (and last) communion photo of the class, there's a gap where my face should have been. Two rows down, there's a young girl with a shocked expression on hers because I was pulling her knickers down at the time...
