Honor Guard

I love the patriotic heart of the United States. To me this picture represents a lot about what is good and right about my country. The U.S. has taken a beating in popularity around the world over the past several years. We are not trusted and held in disrespect by many nations. But this photo...this moment captured is a representation of some of the things that are good and right about my country. We have honor and respect. We are strong. We have the freedom of religion and speech and we pass down our beliefs to our children. We are a melting pot. Look at the crowd, we are white and black and every color in between. We are diverse and though you might think that our diversity would mean we are disjointed and weak, it is actually our strength.

And heck...we have baseball and ballpark hot dogs! :-)
