Painting and fresco
over 800 years old, more recent touch ups have been using chemical colours, original colours are vegetable dyes.
This is on the celing of the hall(mantapa) in front of the Brahadeshwara temple

Early in the morning
The 'Vimana' on the 'Gopura' that is the stone sitting top most of the monument is a monlith and is well over a tonne.
They used elephent technology to haul it up there :)

Raamar Paadam - Rama's feet
This is at Point Calimere
Jaffna, Srilanka is 16 kms from the shore line. It is said that Lord Rama looked in the direction of Srilanka from this very point before proceeding to Rameshwaram
