Alright, here goes.
So, Aeh and I decide to check out the Bed Supper Club, which I had never been to before.
Started out with a couple Singh beers at my place, chillin' blasting the good tunes, talking about this and that.
Around ten headed over to Sukhumvit 11 which is The Bed's soi for a couple beers at this other cheap pseudo pub (apparently quite the renound attraction) called Cheap Charlie's (yes, u guessed it, very cheap alcohol...)
After decently enjoying the drinks, we at last headed over to Bed, where my buddy Joy got us in for free (its a 700baht cover charge...)
Now, I had been to Bed before, during the day, when Joy showed me around once, but wow, this place is nice, and original, despite the overplayed presence of cocky m'as-tu-vu farang all checking themselves out in the bathroom mirrors...
The concept of Bed is that you go there usually to have dinner in the one wing/side of the club, lying/sitting comfortably in great bed-looking couches/booths and its all very relaxed; then later on you can get up, dance, party, to the sounds of renound DJs playing different sets according to which night you're there, and which wing you're in... This night was a sort of house/salsa blend with backdrops of live drums... Quite the thing.
After thoroughly enjoying the night (apart from my little bout of evil spiced up craping in the ever so nice Bed bathrooms...) We decided to head over to a "late-night" after-club, called Lucky...
Well now despite the seedy look on the outside this place was quite nice indeed! Lively, with a good atmosphere. By this time of course I was quite the drunk man, so anything would have seemed nice :)
After dancing for hours, Aeh and I went our seperate ways, me insisting on walking home (its about 10 blocks, or so) to sober up...
Met up with Parisa, after picking up some much needed night food from the street vendours, and then had a swift jump in the pool...
All in all, my experience at Bed and further into the night was a good one :) Bed is quite the expensive place, but I guess you pay for innovatie concepts...
