wonderful place! just an advice: i read about your site; you use photoshop. for example in this pics can you the shadow and highlight a little bit reduce. the pics become colourful and the lights "come back". but its great shot! :)

divina, thank you for your comment. i'm all for making use of levels, dodging and burning and other techniques for enhancing a photograph. however with this image of the hai long passage i was after something a little different. i was shooting for reproducing what i saw that day. if i recall the morning was super hazy and foggy - yet the sun was shining ever so brightly. the mountains literally receded into the haze to the point of invisability. it was a majestic and fantastic sight. i still don't think that i have it perfect yet. but that is the nature of photography and art, no?
