Elephents lives in Thailand is very sad now aday, but not in the history.. they are the hero. Elephants use to be and still remember by the powerful and sign of Thailand, but now alot of them must walk on street to get treat and to treat their owner.. sad, wish Thailand could do something better. Love your shot, it telling his feeling.

Hi OC, thanks for your worries. This one was near Chiang Rai, within a tribal village. As far as I could tell he was well treated, no chains, no holes in his ears, and he was allowed to stop and eat at will when carrying passengers. Nothing to do with India where I saw them suffer greatly.
