Sacred ground here, I feel years of history The little statue on the bottom left gives a humain dimension to the dry old stones around. Impression of chaos, harmony and peace.

it may appear that the cycle is not broken, yet we may also see the evolving curve upping... nice evocative capture...

This is and excellent shot Guy - this is so good that I sat looking at this for awhile. It is mesmerizing!! To provide you with my answer to your question Guy, I am sure they made a lot of mistakes, as you and I do every day. However, in the overall scheme of things, those mistakes did not have the impact as it does today!! Today with globalization, we can instantly get news of an occurrence, and we are so use to this on a day-to-day bases via media. What boggles my mind is that I think we all have "information overload", and we treat everything as blasé!! We see the mistakes, but we either do not react at all or we react far to late. I am afraid to say that we are compounding our mistakes and we are going down a very disastrous road - I can feel it and sense it each and every year. I have not sensed anything like this since the 60's. Can you sense it? - Art

Great shot and lighting, for my taste I prefer a little more contrast, but everyone's different.

That's a good question which has been posed so many times and unfortunately if we look at history the answer appears to be yes. However, the dream of each generation is to alter the direction, to learn from, to read about , to dialogue with the past. the past isn't an archaic document—I think it holds the secret. I agree with leapfrog—these are perilous times and we've been here many times before.
