Nice dog. I think if it was me I would try to crop the pic so the bars look straight. Anyway nice pic and many thanks for your comment :))

I like the slightly off-centre lines, gives it realism, and the eyes... he looks very put out! :) Lovely shot. I have no criticism of it - I think you did a good job.

I'd agree with sjasf save the more I look at the less I'm bothered by the slightly out of focus bars. Love the expression.

I like this. I feel the close cropping - and especially the detail of the eye being caught by the frame - heightens the sense of confinement. Suspect that if the bars had been in focus, the eye would have been more drawn to them because of the visual contrast with the muzzle. Think its a very effective shot in capturing the animal's appeal. Thank you for your comment on my profile pic, btw; there are another couple of those sunset shots right on the end of 'Kew Gardens Henry Moore 3' in my sidebar, if you're interested. Have another dozen variants on file somewhere!

I think he just looks really chilled out :) He's a sweetie...although had it been in b&w perhaps it would have given off a very different feel. I did a very similar shot with my cat earlier this month. I have to agree on the whole issue of not being a fan of post processing.....So i like that you've only sharpened it a touch and accepted it for what it is ;)
