I like this. I feel the close cropping - and especially the detail of the eye being caught by the frame - heightens the sense of confinement. Suspect that if the bars had been in focus, the eye would have been more drawn to them because of the visual contrast with the muzzle. Think its a very effective shot in capturing the animal's appeal. I think he just looks really chilled out :) He's a sweetie...although had it been in b&w perhaps it would have given off a very different feel. I did a very similar shot with my cat earlier this month. I have to agree on the whole issue of not being a fan of post processing.....So i like that you've only sharpened it a touch and accepted it for what it is ;) focussed · 2008-02-22: 18:48
