Got the focus wrong on this picture, but I felt it just made the subject of the door more interesting, essentially the chair was more important

Because then life wouldn't be the experience that it is. I really like the almost eerie feel to this shot - the lighting exaggerates the mood effectively, and the blue light through the windows and the slightly open door really entices the eye. Perhaps you could have tried for a lower perspective and shot wide to get the full shadows of the chair - you have got them slightly cropped here? But that's my only suggestion :) I like it very much as it is :)

I actually like the composition of the shot..i think lowering the perspective would meant hat the you loose site of part of the door. Its a shame the chair isnt in focus but its not really really blurred so the image still works... I like it as is :)
