I love football - the passion, the skill, and tribal rivalry - I have played it throughout my life, even today hobbling around the pitch, with a desire to win, driving me on . I dislike the way football, the game of the people, has been hijacked by the suits and the accompanying vulgar salaries to the very best ... but hey it is the World Cup ... and I'm probably one of the few Irishmen (openly) saying
