Escape in 'Cataylst'

2008.07.08

I aplogize first of all-to some who know me well enough;I have a habit of posting up my photos first, only to do a write up much later.

The story goes that this 'dancer' was in ecstacy having the floor space all to herself with no one to watch her prancing and posing. However this 'free-spirit' had it a little difficult having to set her 'Pearl' on timer mode then race to centrestage and strike a pose.

As I mentioned in my previous post,I had to babysit this theatre for a while.I had already taken all the photos I needed to (I was beginning to get a little brain dead for perspectives);then suddenly I looked at the floor space and then I couldn't resist-I had to use the ample floor space 'centrestage'

When I was little,I used to do ballet but I had to stop because I shifted and travelling became a barrier. But it never did stop my passion for dance.I used to cheorograph some dance back in school, college and Sunday School Christmas plays;from pop,a little hiphop, lyrical, musical and traditional.

I am not flexible as I used to be and my stamina's waay off!But I do plan to pursue 2 of the things I have a strong passion for in life theatre and dance someday.Ask me to dance and act;I'll do it anytime.Meanwhile I think I shall go get my body flexi again!!

And yes..any movies or series with dance as the central story/theme-am glued!!

focussed oh its you?!..hehe i love that. I was thinking they have a very voyeuristic feel to them. Almost like the dancer didnt know she was being photographed...once I read your commentary that theory went right out the window...haha...Still, I get that feeling of total abandonment in your movements because it was just you and the floor......and the camera.. :)

neb3000 They make a nice sequence, I think they'd look good put together as a short movie clip type of thing, with a second of the photo, then a second of blackness...
