Seems appropriate to post these images on a damp dark December day in Vermont: Images from trekking from Jomsom to Kagbeni through a dry arid landscape. In the afternoon a fierce wind would come up, stirring up clouds of dust and making for a harsh and unpleasant environment. Northward up the valley lies Tibet.
