Some images -- of rather poor quality -- taken at the Burlington Criterium stage of the 2008 Green Mountain Stage Race.
1) I was at the race to work/volunteer. I got there at 6:45 am (later than some of the crew) and stayed all day through breakdown. It was hot and tiring. I never really had an hour to myself to just play with the camera.
2) My camera, a Pentax K100D Super, is not known for having a fast autofocus. So it's probably not the best tool for this kind of venue. Also this is the first bike race I have shot with this and I must say, I would like to try again, and tweak some settings.
3) I have been at this event for far too long, since, 1993 or so... Labor Day Monday is usually sunny for some reason. This causes deep shadows at the finish line....
