January 22- alley shots
2009.01.22
I am always fascinated by what you see from behind buildings and rowhomes. It's like looking at what is going on backstage at a play or performance, or pulling away on any given movie shot to reveal all of the equipment and technicians surrounding the shot that make it possible.
Trying to figure out what to take pictures of yesterday, since I wouldn't be leaving work until well after dark, I took my camera with me to the coffee shop to get a mid-afternoon hot drink. I take a shortcut through the alley across from my building. All 4 of these shots were taken from that small, one block long alley. |

Rooftop and fire escape. If you were to pull back from this shot, you'd see a parking lot, dumpsters, cars, etc.
Eventually I want to shoot some pictures of the alleys of east Baltimore rowhouses as well... |
