Our company has been in this locatioon for years. My office actually moved within this location 4 times, so each time I was able to shed some "stuff". Nevertheless, we are moving into an open plan cube farm and we'll all have much less room, so the purging really needs to be serious this time.
Ordinarily, this kind of thing would be quite stressful, but compared to what is happening in my family life right now, I'm taking this change in stride. I mean, when I go on location, I work out of hotels and on folding tables, and back in my old film work days you worked in one office/warehouse set up for weeks or months and then it was over, and then you set up someplace new with the next job, and it was no big deal.
The most tedious part is the going through old files, etc and deciding what is worth keeping and what can be purged- and that's just because after you accumulate so much stuff over the years, it just takes time to go through.
