The Virgin Mobile Festival was free this year! We had dibs on tickets because we had paid to go the last 2 years in a row. They changed the venue from Pimlico Racetrack to Merriweather Post Pavillion.
Toronto band Holy F*ck on the dance/electronica stage. In true small world fashion, a (former TTer) friend turns out to know one of the guys in the band. They were good, very creative. |
Trixie Little and the Evil Hate Monkey and friends. (She was one of the people in the mermaid costumes when I did that cover of our city's free weekly a few years ago.)
(Link too long to post here) |
We all file over to the other stage to see Public Enemy. Us and everyone else there, it seemed. (annotated)

Paul knew all the lyrics. He's not making a rabbit face on purpose, I think he is reciting lyrics. ;-)
|
They were greeted by Dicky B (Richard Branson) cracking open champagne. Let's hope Dicky sprung for a good bottle. ;-). That said, thanks Dicky for the free festival!

It looks a lot better than the English version of V Festival.

Wicked! I've been to a couple of VFests in the UK but the weather was not as good! Nor the tickets free! Nice one.

I "heart" the giant motorized chicken. And you got to see Flavor Flav!

I adore those bushes. I want to be a bush at my next fancy dress party.

That looks like so much fun - and those in #6 gives the "Pink Ladies" a whole new meaning and #7 is hilarious.
