July 31- Gilligan cat, Otakoners and football/soccer match

One of friends Marci and Andy's 3 cats, Gilligan. He's about a year old and looks like the grown up version of one of Lisa D's boys.

Met Marci and Andy downtown because we were going to an exhibition football/soccer match, so went for drinks and food first. This weekend was also Otakon, the Japanese manga and anime convention downtown, so lotsa cosplay kids roaming about. (You might remember pics from last year of this).

So much fun! More cosplay goin' on than Harajuku on a Sunday! ;-)

Don't get to see this kinda thing often- an exhibition game between Inter Milan and Manchester City Football clubs. Played on Ravens stadium, our US football stadium.

Not all the way full, but a pretty decent turnout.

Really funny to see the juxtaposition of things that normally aren't seen together. IE. The ads on the stadium wrap, and how about some Manchester City flags over top the Ravens.
It was funny to hear the same announcer who does the Orioles baseball games calling this football/soccer game.

Oop- somebody didn't like that call- yellow card!

Inter Milan guy gets hit in the head.

Get up, you're okay.

and he does.... score- Inter Milan 3, Manchester City- nil.
