January 1 2012- Philly Mummers Parade
2012.01.01
We got up early and drove to a commuter rail station just outside of Philly and took the train in to check out the Mummer's Parade. Something I've meant to do since my early 20's. Well worth it- very working class display kind of like Mardi Gras.

met up briefly with our friend Kelley, who was staying in Phlly for a few days for a quick holiday getaway.

so cool! my mom's from newfoundland, and i got to go mummering at christmas there when i was a kid. such fun.
