What would a cruise be without the obligatory lifeboat drill picture. We almost missed the cruise after a delayed flight and trouble with a passport...were so tired after being up most of the night traveling and then we had to stand around wearing the lifevests...ugh!
We left 106 degree weather in Chico...the misty rain of Ketchikan was wonderful.
The creek through Ketchikan had been mined for gold when the town was formed.
We went for a walk through this rainforest in Ketchikan...saw lots of bald eagles and a black bear.
We biked 18 miles down the pass into Skagway. It was bitterly cold as we started up in the clouds.
A waterfall somewhere on the highway to White Pass.
The beach at Icy Strait Point...the crab was dead...Tom was being weird.
The rain sent us inside alot during the cruise...this afternoon we decided on bingo. The payout was 4500 bucks...we weren't even close.
We got off the cruise in Seward for the land portion of our trip. I think this would've been a beautiful place if we could've seen the hills...the story of our whole trip.
Raining in Seward and someone wasn't dressed for the weather...but she was still smiling!
A sled dog in Denali. We missed our dogs!
The trail near the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood...not only was I bundled up for the weather, but the mosquitoes were tenacious here.
One of the few places we didn't need to be bundled up was on the dinner train the last night of our trip. We took the train from Denali into Fairbanks. Fairbanks tends to have some of the warmer weather in the summer and colder weather in the winter....true on this day as it was 80 degrees there.
