First Day of Spring?

Left Medford this morning, heading home to Chico. We were getting conflicting info as to whether chains were required, but it turned out we didn't need them. We tucked in behind this convoy of trucks and took our time over the Siskiyou Pass.

The only sign of trouble was this truck that had slid to a stop and was waiting for a tow.

Trucks stopped at the summit to check their chains and brakes.

Springtime in California!

We stopped south of the summit so Tom could look for a Tufted Duck that had been spotted at this pond. Second try to see it, but apparently the duck has moved on to warmer weather.

This sign puzzled me.

We made it out of the snow and back to slightly warmer California weather!
