To The Ends Of the Earth Ministries--August Newsletter Photos

2007.08.01
This is just a small part of the view from our 12th floor apartment.

It was great to see our friends from previous trips to Taiwan.

On the way to the mountains we stopped to see this suspension bridge.

The aboriginal art reminds us in many ways of American Indian art.

At one of the aboriginal churches, the pastor took us to the roof to tell us the history of his church and the surrounding village.

Here is an example of the aboriginal art painted on the walls of the church's parking lot.

During our trip, we drove up to the 3,000 meter level.

Then we set out on foot to climb the 100th highest peak in Taiwan.

This modernistic version of aboriginal art was at the edge of the sports field of a local elementary school.

The traditional circle dance is very much like some American Indian dances.

During our trip, Jeff spoke to an aboriginal youth group. Abe was the translator.

We stayed that night in the church building on the left, just to the side of the sanctuary building in the middle of the photo.
