Here's the coastal fish market we drove out to see on our scooters. We had been to this same place years ago--a happy memory.

There are all kinds of strange sea creatures for sale.

There were also fish of every color and variety.

The fishing boats pull up right next to the market.

We put on lifejackets to go on Johnny's birthday boat ride.

The ride was short, but pleasant, with a few deep swells when we got to the mouth of the harbor.

One of the students at my school organized a hike up the mountain at the edge of town. Many of the group members are students in one of my English conversation classes.

This was a pretty challenging hike--more like climbing a ladder in many places.

Coming down was even more of a challenge. In one place where the trail had washed away, we had to use a rope.
|
Here you can see where the old trail washed away! From there we went to a hot springs to soothe our aching legs. What a great day!
