To The Ends Of The Earth Ministries--July Newsletter Photos

2008.07.29
Our flight to the Philippines had beautiful weather. As always, it was hot and humid when we arrived!

Our first seminar was at God's Promise Christian Center in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. This is the church that we pastored for 10 years.

The interior of the church may be plain, but God has done great things here over the years. In addition to church members, several pastors attended the sessions.

One night we had a visitor at the house where we were staying in Sta. Rosa.

On Saturday, Karen and the boys went to visit Pooc, the ministry that Karen started so many years ago. It's amazing to see the children growing up so nicely and serving the Lord.

This is the church building that they have now built there. They are also holding Sunday services which many of the parents attend. Karen and the boys are at the back.

Our next seminar was in Las Pinas. This was a well-attended seminar. Here Jeff shows ancient coins from Israel.

Here, too, not only church members but pastors and visitors from other congregations attended.

Johnny and David took turns running the audio-visual equipment.

Next, we went up into the mountains near Manila to Antipolo. Here Jeff taught two seminars as a class in a Bible college.

The students included several pastors and two students from Myanmar (Burma).

It was a demanding schedule: classes were held morning and afternoon all week.

Jeff also spoke to the entire school at a chapel service while we were there.

Our next stop was in Makati. Here Karen and Tammie pose in front of a big hotel.

The seminar at Church of God, Makati, was our best attended seminar. This was a Creation seminar, followed with a lot of interest by the participants.

Our last speaking engagement was at the church anniversary for God's Promise Christian Center.

There were about 400 people in attendance, including children (who had their own events not shown). It was just amazing to see how much the impact of this church has multiplied over the years from its small beginnings back in the 1980's when we were first here.

May God continue to grow this church and multiply its outreach into the surrounding community.

We got back home to Taichung just in time to watch a big typhoon blow in. Fortunately, it was not very severe in our area.
