series of photographs, images, collected, about the people living in urban poor settlement areas. way back in the 90s, I have been photographing communities, mostly settlement communities in very depressed urban settings. from Payatas, the big dumpsite in quezon city, to the railtracks of manila, settlers living under the bridge, a big urban poor area in cebu, and now, here in Tondo. These pictures are about migration, work, portraits, of their living condition, their dreams, their aspirations, about their community..along the way, perhaps, i can find answers as to why they have opted to settle in these places. in my conversations with them, most say, it is the only place they find work, to be able to survive in a big city like metro manila.
