Great shots of Cosey lapping the water!! The cutest shots were of her just sitting there with her little paws over the divider.
Thanks. Everything Cosey does is cute since she's only a six pounder! I've been browsing your recipes and will make the cauliflower soup next. I'm into soups lately while I'm recovering from surgery. Do you have a carrot souffle recipe?

Reply ⇔ Deer in the "Headlights"
We live in a housing development, and it's nothing to see deer walking right down the middle of the street!! They eat the tops off all our flowers. The other morning I left for work @ 5:45 am, and I saw what I thought was a man in the middle of the road, just standing there. As I got closer, i...
Maybe you should look into some "Deer Resistant" plants ! Dahlias are not on the list ! trust me, must taste really good ! Life in the country has it's ups and downs , coyotes, fox , bear ,mountain lion, skunks , deer and two of "my"worst enemies "Gophers and Tomato Worms " Had a great Tomato year ,wish I could share. You would love these, They are all Heirlooms, great flavor and size.

My tomatoes were spared, but all my greens were attacked by those pesky slugs. I had little holes in all the leaves. Made great rabbit food for a friend's pets :-)
Put a shallow bowl of beer out in the garden, supposedly slugs like beer . My lettuce did well till it got warm, then it bolted. Thanks for stopping by !! cd

Great garden you've got going on there!! i should try my hand at growing garlic, as we go thru it so fast. do you plant from seeds? how do you grow it?
Had a friend give me a couple of cloves about 5 years ago, planted it in the fall, Nov-Dec area. Just broke the cloves up,stuck it in one of my raised beds about an inch deep and pretty much let mother nature water it for me till summer shows up. It's like onions, when it's starts to get brown and flower it's done. I would think you could find starts in any good nursery, or find some on the web ! Thank you for you kind comments and I wish I could share some of my garden bounty with you !! I grow way too much for two people! Neil

Wow. Never heard of it. I've put the dandelion greens in my green smoothies, and my mom would fix the greens when we were little, but have never heard of using the petals. So, what is the flavor of that?
It's almost honey tasting, with a flowery undertone and a little burst of citrus from the lemon juice. It's REALLY good! I'm totally hooked on it now. ;)
