Going to Oz?

2008.05.31
Chris' deer tick. He had a bright red ring around the spot where this little gal bit him. It's kind of amazing how much damage that little thing could do.

Driving home, it was really sunny, but somehow there were enormous drops of rain that were smacking into the windshield. You can see some of their plop-prints in this pic.

Those giant drops also made those little crown-like shapes when they hit the water. It looked really cool, but by the time I got my camera out, the rain had slowed down. You can still see a few of them here.

The tornado sirens started to go off about an hour after that huge rain, and these giant dark clouds were just flying by... it looked pretty cool out our window.

Starting to clear up - a little patch of blue

Unusual day today. Chris woke me up the morning at 6-something to help him get a tick off him. It ended up being a deer tick, so now he's on antibiotics. Then he went golfing and I went to the lakes for my long run. I got lost three times and ended up going 11.3 miles - my longest run ever! I was very pleased. Later in the day, the weather got crazy (see picture descriptions). We had Mom, Dad, and Todd over for a BBQ of bison and venison burgers, and we didn't eat until 9:30 or so. I crashed hard.
