My bowl of dong dong ju. How does it taste like? It's a sweet and slightly fizzy alcohol made from fermented rice made on-site at the restaurants. Tt tastes slightly different from place to place and the "dong dong" refers to the fermented rice bits that floats in the alcohol.

I have recently stopped eating red meat and (oh boy!) it was hard to find food in Seoul where everyone loves their beef and pork! Nonetheless, the Korean cuisine remains one of my favourites.
