In October, I shot the wedding of my best friend's brother. Terry is in the Navy and Bree, his wife, is still in school so they didn't have a lot of money to pay for a photographer. Shooting their wedding was my gift to them. This past weekend, I received a thank you note from them for capturing "our happiest moments". I can't tell you how happy I am that they liked them.
This was only the 3rd wedding I've done (I did one other by myself and assisted at another). It was a little stressful because it was at night & outside without much light. It was also hard because I've known Terry since he was 8 and my eyes sometimes got teary at their love and their joy. I don't think I could do this for a living. But once in a while is kind of fun. :)
The top shot wasn't planned. I was taking pictures of the two of them on the steps of this tiny church and the others were standing in the doorway trying to make them laugh. I pulled back and caught all of them. I only took the one shot! Sometime, I am so lucky. :) But really, I think its my D200. I really trust it's metering.

You did an awesome job!! These are simply stunning! I love the expressions in the first shot. And the sepia is really fitting. I've shot about 3 weddings too with my Nikon & have done OK, but worried constantly because someone's memories were in my hands. Excellent!!
Wonderful gift! I especially like the first shot - it looks like everyone is so happy and poised to leap on the bride and groom with hugs and kisses as soon as they get the signal.
