Such a simple picture...red and green...one flower...and I really like it! Your pictures always seem to have such rich color. I would love to know how you do that. Good job, as always.

The rich color from this one and the rest of the older ones comes from the Velvia film I used. It gave me deep saturated flowers. The other thing is that I find that I like to shoot flowers in jewel tones. They draw me to them where I have to seek out the paler flowers and often don't.

Thanks all! Haha - a friend just told me today the he was sick of seeing poppies. I think he was just being grumpy. How could you be sick of such a cheery flower?
