Great story and shot - and how awesome that you got to see Dancing with the Stars! I've had the same envious feeling when watching "official" photographers!

Thanks. :) Mademoiselle - They waited and waited but the turtle never moved once. But still, they watched. :)

you favorite critic here... one thing i noticed, is that you don't get right up and personal with people you don't know... did you consider cropping this photo tighter? one of the reasons you are my favorite photog, well, let's leave Aniela out for the moment, is that you see things others wouldn't, and capture it... cropping this tighter would have brought more emphasis on the expression on the children's face -- mais non?

Thanks g. I did think about cropping this tighter. I debated with myself over it because while I would like to have a closer shot of their faces, I thought it only made sense if the turtle was still in the photo. I didn't try cropping it to 8x10 portrait though instead of landscape. I could try that in see if it's better. :)
